6.5 x 284 dies?
i've reloaded a bit, but only 'mainstream' factory rounds

am very interested in the 6.5 x 284 - i like what i'm reading about its ballistics, etc, but i checked the main die mfgs and didn't see this die sold by them (lyman, rcbs). given the popularity of this round among the competition shooters, i figured i could find these dies.

anyway, would i have to custom order the dies, or does someone make them?

Mine are RCBS that I got from Huntingtons because I needed them in a hurry and they have 'em in stock. So.. I paid more.

Midway shows Redding, RCBS & Hornady in their catalog. I would go Redding.

go to www.ch4d.com

go to page 19 and then to the bottom of that page and keeop advancing the pages until you get to the 6.5mm section. Their site goes in numerical order not by caliber.

So you'll go thru all of the 458s, 500s until you get to the 6s.

Plus you'll see the 1000s of custome dies that they do.

If I had to take a stab at the $$$s ch4d gets for 6.5-284, I'm thinking $60.

I have a set of Forster ultra micrometer dies. I think they came from grafs and sons for about $70. They usually have them in stock.
