powder ?

I have been having a hard time finding powder. the other day I stopped in a little shop and they had two 1# containers of H4895 but they had two different lot #'s. so heres my question would you mix the two together so you had two pounds of the same powder or leave well enough alone.

Unless you are shooting over max I would just use them from the cans as is.

I would mix them and have one lot. I've been doing that for 20 years. My largest blend was when I bought 6 pounds of Re22.

I blended all of them together as there were 3 different lot numbers for all 6 containers.

I always prefer blending and I've never ever had a problem. Just mark your containers as "blended" with a date.

generally speaking this is good unril you discover one of the lots is recalled.....

It's very rare and possibly worth the risk!

It would probably make more sense to load at least one round from each can (at an exceptable low loading) and shoot them over a chrony first before you do anything. Just see what you have and if there is anything goofy happening. Then you can mix or do whatever.

hoggunner ----- I never blend because I don't feel I have the right equipment to blend evenly. That said, blending just two pounds would be relatively easy. I would use them one pound at a time as "p dog shooter" suggested. Good shooting.
