Inertial hammer bullet puller for 416 Rigby
Is there a hammer style bullet puller for large and long cartridges like the 416 Rigby or the 505 Gibbs?

It looks like the Lyman product works. Anybody used it?

I can use the Lyman on my .500 A2, so you should be GTG.

My 416 was what finally prompted me to get a collet style puller.

Kinetic puller is fine for a few rounds, but more than 4 or 5, and I get out my RCBS collet puller.

YMMV

Yep I too use a RCBS collet type puller, the 44 calibre collet works a treat pulling .423" bullets from my 404J cartridges.

Wink,

Thanks for the tip.
That Lyman kinetic puller is nice to have.
I found one at the local emporium.
I have been collecting collets for too long.
The Lyman is a big hammer and handier.

I made one up that works very well & the lead nose is protected by the tube rubber!

I actually used it to dismantle over 75 rounds since the load was too slow (I bought custom ammo loaded with H4831)

All the Woodleigh SN bullets were good as new to use again.

Just throw the thing on to a block of wood and catch the rebound! Big Grin

For that matter, I just shove a small wad of paper towel into the bottom of the Lyman puller. No bullet damage.

Ha! 75? Gee your missing all the fun!!

Ever try pulling a 200 round lot of 20gr .17 cals? I have a 10" sq plate of 1 1/2" steel I hammer on. Handy for when I need an anvil in there too.

Naki: Just trying to harass you a bit again is all! Cheers!
