AllenHawaii404J Lee Crimp Die on 10,75x68
Will a Lee Factory Crimp Die made for the 404 Jeffery work for a 10,75x68?
I have a 404 Jeffery one but it is in storage & I can't get to it right now to test it.
I don't know what part of the cartridge 'activates' the crimping action.
Both use .423 bullets. So thought I'd ask.

Canuck32Just a FYI Lee Precision isn't making any custom crimp dies for the time being.
If you have that much to fight for, then you should be fighting. The sentiment that modern day ordinary Canadians do not need firearms for protection is pleasant but unrealistic. To discourage responsible deserving Canadians from possessing firearms for lawful self-defence and other legitimate purposes is to risk sacrificing them at the altar of political correctness."

Cowboy_DanAs long as the case fits in the die without resistance and isn't (much) longer than the 404 Jeff, then it should work.

NakihunterWow! & just $25!!
If they can do 10.75X68, why do they not do a 416 Rigby, which is more common?????

They can, and have done them in the past as a custom. The thing is, the 10,75x68 FCD is cheap ATM because it's a custom order overrun. Check out this lot:
http://leeprecision.com/custom...-crimp-die-overruns/Midway in particular, custom order and stock quite a few FCD calibres that aren't among Lee's standard offerings. The 9.3x62 comes to mind. Not the .416 Rigby though, unfortunately.
Some folks use the .416Rem FCD, and insert the cartridge from the top, as a workaround.
