Ol` JoeR19 gives me the best velocity, but H4831sc seems to show slightly better accuracy with about 50-75fps less.
Sorry I can`t offer more help

Ol` JoeI`ve heard some complain the 1/9" twist most manufactures use in their 260 barrels won`t stabilize 140 and up bullet wgts. That might be part of your problem. I haven`t seen this in my rifles but do get better accuracy with the 129 or 120 gr bullets. I haven`t however shot the VDL or longer style heavies. The bullets I have shot are limited to the 140 Hornady SP Inter-lock and Nosler Partition.

seafire244 grains of IMR 4350 seem to be working real well for me out of my two Ruger 77 Mk 2s..
MV is 2750 fps out of a 22 inch barrel...
my VLS Rem gets 2850 fps out of the same load and a 26 inch barrel...
large rifle primers used...normally CCI
Last year I did an extensive look up on both "small calibers" and "favorite Loads". I tallied up all the data and for the 140 gr class bullet their were more mentions of both the H4350 and H4831sc.
For my Rem 700 CDL SF Limited it worked out like this.
Nosler 140 PT
45+ grains of H4831sc worked best with .8" groups
Sierra 140 BTSP
43 gr of H4350 worked best with .77" groups
Hornady 140 SP
43.5 gr of H4350 wored best with sub .7" groups.
I test other powder and 140 gr bullets but these were the best.
YMMV.
