.354" 9mm bullets?
awhile back i picked up a box of reloading components from a gentleman for a decent price. it had an assortment of projectiles in it. one of the boxes happend to be some 124g remington 9mm .354" diameter bullets. at first i didn't catch it but looking at what i had on hand i realized what it said so i pulled one out and measured just to make sure i was reading it right and sure enough i was. so what gives? can these be loaded in a standard 9mm for say a glock? or are these bullets for one of the other 9mm loadings?

I "inherited" some military surplus ammo years ago, and found it very erratic. I pulled a bullet and measured it, it was .354".

I'd suggest you slug your barrel, if it's a true .355" they may work OK, if it's larger (I own 4 9mms and they are all .356" to .357"), they probably won't be very accurate.

sounds like they will be sitting on the shelf for awhile till i find a use for them or find someone else who can use them. i don't think its worth the effort to slug the barrel for 100 projectiles. ive got plenty of other .355 stuff that works just fine. thanks for that info 454

Shoot the farging things, the base will "slug up" to fill the bore.
Geeze Louise haven't you ever heard of production tolerances? 9mm barrels run from .353-.358 (esp those made in the war years)
Hell, US military 30-06 barrels ('03, '03-a3 & Garand) run from .307 to .310 and the bullets for them run .306-.311 (measured from numerious samples of origional mil spec ammo).

tell me what ya really think tailgunner. im still fairly new to reloading i started at the begining of this year ive loaded up around 3k rounds so far but its all been pretty standard stuff so i just wanted to make sure i wasn't gonna have an issue.
