Hello !
Could someone please tell me how you gain water cap. with .460 Wby brass,,how to expand the cases already huge volume,,to get most out of it(of course).I think it has something to do with the way one chambers it,right ?

D HumbargerShorten the neck length to equal the bullet diameter by moving the shoulder forward the required amount. It would be a wildcat then & couldn't use factory ammo. Well maybe you could since that case head spaces on the belt. Then after initial firing of the factory ammo in the "improved" chamber you just back off on the 460 sizer die & neck size only for then on paying close attention not to set the shoulder back because now you are headspacing on the newly formed shoulder not the belt. It would take a custom reamer to make these changes.

Have you actually tried this,,(bet you have)?
What do you suggest for a max load in the .460 Wby improved ?

D HumbargerNo I havn't tried it. It was just the obvious choice & probably the only improvement one could make to that case & would be only a small improvement at best.
