Whopper StopperIMR 4350 for 25-06
I am loading for a 25-06. I have some Sierra 117 grain and some Nosler in 100 and 115 grain. My question is that with the price of powder do any of you have a favorite proven powder for the 25-06 that will cover all three bullet weights? I see there are a couple that would work but I am unfamiliar with them. I am looking for a good proven powder that will flow through a Dillon measure without too many problems. Maybe I just have to think about buying two different powders however I hope not. Anyway thanks for any help.

tradewindsI use 100 gr TSX, 53 Gr IMR 4831, F210 Primer, and it shots great.
I can not remember if I tried IMR4350, I do use that in my 30/06.

Bobby TomekRe-19 and Re-22 (my favorite for the cartridge) both work nicely for the 100-117 grain range you mention.

30378The 25-06 has been my GO-TO rifle for Texas hunting since before it was commercially availible. I have found IMR-4350 to work very well in several rifles.

About the only powders that really flow through any powder measure without problems are ball powders.
While I think H-4831 and Rl-22 are great powders for the 100 to 120 grain .25-06 loads the ball powder to use just might be Ramshot MAGNIM but since I can't access Hodgdon's data anymore I can't really comment on Winchester 780 or H-414 as they are also ball powders andf just might also be excellent powders for this need

Bobby TomekRe-22 is a fairly shrt-cut propellant that flows just fine -- not to mention accurately -- through any measure I have ever used it in.

StonecreekIMR-4350 will provide acceptable, but not optimal, velocities in the .25-06. Besides, it flows through powder meters about like gravel.
I like IMR-7828 SSC in my .25-06 (using mostly 115 bullets). It meters reasonably well through my Redding.

BaldhunterI load 51.2grs of IMR-4350 with a 120gr bullet and get 3100fps ave. chronograph velocity with 3/4" groups out of a Weatherby Vanguard with a 24" barrel. The IMR-4350 gave me the tightest groups and highest velocities of all the powders I tried.
