270 WSM info needed for rookie
Am getting ready to start to reload my wsm. What is the difference between IMR 4350 and H4350? Looking at the different quick reloading booklets from IMR and Hod they both have 4350 listed.
Also any good recipes for this powder and 140 gr Accubonds?

Thanks,
Jon

24mileboy, I use the H4350, and in my rifle, 57 gr. behind the 140 AB's is really an accurate load. My WSM's (including this one) like quite a bit of jump to the lands--about 60 thousandths in this one.

Good shooting--Don

My 270 WSM accuracy load(Tricked out Weatherby Vanguard) is 69g of Retumbo over a 140g Accubond w/ WRLM primers.

I use Magpro(70 grains) and a 140 gr Accubond. I also found this caliber to like a bit of jump, also .060" on mine.Accuracy on my savage got worse the closer to the lands I seated the bullet.

I found 58 grains of h4350 pushing a 110 grain Vmax to cut hole after hole in my 270wsm Vanguard.

Magpro, thats a bit lucky! we cant get it over here and if we could it'd be bloody expensive!!

my 300wsm is the opposite, it only likes bullets touch the lands or seated just into them!
