bkmastrfrom 280 rem to 25-06?
Hello all,
I was given several hundred rounds of 280 remington brass a few years ago. Well i recently purchases a 25-06 and was wondering if there is any problems with sizing the brass down to the 25-06 since the parent case is a 30-06 for both calibers. I have ran several through my 25-06 dies and it went supprisingly easy, not as easy as fired 06 brass, but alot easier than i would have immagined. All i have to do is trim the neck down abit. there were very few cases that had little crinkles around the shoulder area. second question...will these small crinkles cause safety issues? All in all i am just curious if it is worth saving money on what i have to use or should i just buy 25-06 brass? All input would be greatly appreciated!

ramrod340The reason they are harder to size than 270 or 30-06 is becasue the shoulder is being moved back. The 280 headspace is a touch longer to insure it won't chamber in the 270. The crinkles shouldn't be and issue.
