Ray Spencer30-30 125gr TNT loads
Hi,
Does anyone have any real (good) load data for a 1959 Winchester 30-30 with the 125gr TNT. that is reasonably accurate? I know, I know, its a pointed bullet. I plan on using it for varmints etc... as a 2 shot deal in this rifle.
Thanks

hawkinsMy old Lyman Book with 110 gr gives max loadings 35 gr 3031, 37gr 4895.
If you have similar powders on hand there
may be some loads.
The big thing is the accuracy. Good luck!

Ray SpencerThanks, but have you actually tried these loads and know of its accuracy?

hawkinsAs stated these loads came from lyman.
The accuracy depends on the gun and YOU!

seafire/B17GI've used that bullet in several of my 30/30s..
30 grains of RL 7, IIRC...
just worked up off of load data for 110 grain RN's...
also works well with the 125 grain Ballistic Tip...and the 110 grain HP Sierras and the 110 grain V Max...

Ray SpencerHawkins, thanks but I was looking for something more along the lines like what seafire/B17G wrote, info from personal experience. I have a Lyman and most other load data books. Thanks to all who responded.
