RWS Brass
If anyone is interested in some RWS brass-9.3x64, 9.3x62, 404 Jeff, whatever-let me know. I need a few boxes of 9.3x64 but not enough for my source to go through the trouble of going across town to mail it. Let me know what you want and the amount and I will inquire on price, availability and shipping. Cobalt

Along with a friend, we'd both be interested in 404 Jeffery if available. It's my understanding RWS quit making it and it's no longer imported. Before we organize to purchase it I'd like to know it IS available. I'd guess about 200 cases are needed. Advise availability.

I think I would take a hundred each of the flwg.: 9.3x62, 404 Jefferys, 450-400-3" depending on price...Maybe more.

Cobalt,

I'm a little late on this, but would you mind checking price and availability of 8 box 9.3x74R, 5 box 8x60S and 5 box 6.5x57R.

Thanks,
Brian

To all who inquired about RWS brass.
My supplier got back to me with these prices. We had interest in, at least, 20bx of 9.3x64 and 5bx of 9.3x62. The brass is (I think the Euro conversion is about one for one to USD) $20bx and $40 for total shipping. This comes out to approx $21.60bx. Great deal on 64 but not so good on 62. Guess the RWS price is the same. I will check on the 9.3x74R, 8x60S and 6.5x57. There is probably interest in more than 20bx of 9.3x64. You guys let me know. Cobalt

Cobalt,

Thanks for checking on all of this for us. If the pricing for the 9.3x74R, 8x60S and 6.5x57R comes back in the $21.60 range, I'm in for the quantities I have listed above.

Please also note that I'm looking for 8x60S and dave7mm is looking for 8x68S (since you didn't mention pricing for the 8x68 brass). And just to verify that my order would be for the rimmed version of the 6.5x57.

Thanks again. Let me know the details and I'll be happy to send a check as soon as you need it.

Cobalt-

Let me know when you need the money for the 10 boxes of 9.3x64 brass. Will it all be shipped to you and you repackage and forward? If so, let us know how much we will owe you for this.....

Thanks, Bob

Anybody else out there need any 9.3X64? So far I have: Stephensen 10bx
Atkinson 5bx (do you still need the
9.3x62?)
I should have an answer today about the other stuff Brian. My guess is, all the common RWS brass is about the same price. I get to Atlanta often to visit relatives and could deliver your stuff. Cobalt

Doc,
6.5x68 is available. I have inquired about the brass for you, Brian. Will get back when I hear. Like I said, I think all the brass is about the same price but the more we order, the better the price. Cobalt

Hi Cobalt any chance you can get a price on 10.3X60R and 10.75X68?

<Cobalt>
Here is what we can get so far. 9.3x64, 9.3x62, 6.5x68, 6.5x57, 9.3x74R. Can't get 8x60. I will ask about 10.75X68(I know .404Jeff is out) and 10.3X60R. Cobalt

Ok, since the 8x60 stuff is unavailable, I'll add 5 boxes of 9.3x64 to my order.

Heck, I don't even own a rifle for the x64 chambering yet, but I have a feeling I will one day and this is a good chance to have the brass on hand for when the rifle gets built.

It's a maybe on the 10.3X60R and 10.75X68. He says available but hard to get. The 10.3X60R is a Swiss big game cartridge?? Where are you guys coming up with this stuff? [Smile] Will work on it. Cobalt

Cobalt,
I guess I will pass on the 9.3x62 as I can get Lapua 9.3x62 much cheaper and its available and is excellent stuff...

I really wanted the 404 stuff...what about 450-400-3" is that available? I could use some of that.

<10.3X60R>
Sorry Cobalt the 10.75X68 is a mauser model A that saw some use in africa. Was a good farmers, poor hunters rifle but lacked frontal penetration on elephant. I have it for elk, so shouldn't have a problem. The 10.3X60R is a swiss round, but according to COTW it is also the british 450/400 2 3/8 BPE. I picked up my first cape gun 2 years ago and it's a 16ga/10.3X60R. Good gun, hard to find ammo though. Luckily it uses .406 bullets. The 10.75X68 isn't really important, I still have 3 boxes of brass. But the 10.3X60R would be nice, all I have now is reformed 348win.

Cobalt, I wanted to thank you for giving me the contact for RWS brass last year. I did import 500 rd of 9.3x64 brass and everything went well except they need to use a much heavier constructed box to ship it in as mine was almost completely comming appart and I lost 4-6 rounds. Otherwise the deal went through very well!

Cobalt,

my friend and I have both ordered CZ 9.3x62 rifles. What is the cost for RWS brass for this caliber and if I wanted how do I get involved with this order ???

Regards PC.

<Cobalt>
PC,
All the RWS brass is about $20/bx plus shipping. Your caliber is available in the states and is much cheaper to buy it here. If you rechamber to 9.3x64 I can help you. I plan on ordering about 40bxs. Cobalt

Cobalt,

thanks for that !!

So I am better to buy direct from one of the US stores ??

Which one would you recomend and do they ship to Australia, I think I read somewhere that Midway do not send stuff outside of the US ??

I would also have access to Lapua brass, but is the RWS stuff better again ??

Thanks for your help.

The 9.3x64 would be a great round to rechamber my CZ for when it arrives but I already have a .375 H&H so the 9.3x62 will play a milder role in my collection for when I feel like shooting heavy type bullets less a little recoil [Big Grin]
