Svper Balistite??
I saw some powder in a store recently that had Svper Balistite on it. It looks kind of old but he had about 5 cans on his shelf, is it any good for anything other than shotguns? It is in good shape and appears to be stored good.

Most shotgun powders work good in handguns.

the maker wasn't like lafflin and rand was it?
if so that powder would be over 100 years old, and would be the predecessor to unique.

That stuff is OOOOLD! However, it is likely double-based (nitrocellulose with nitroglycerin) and such powders usually don't tend to deteriorate.

Thought about picking up a can just to have.

I can help you out with some Alcan wads, but your on your own as far as the primers.

those Alcan primers were smoking hot, like probably 20% hotter than todays Fed 209's are.

Thanks for the offer but not reloading any shotshells.
When was the last time they imported this powder? These look like they may be 30 years old but can't really tell, they could have been preserved well.
