wfwenzel6mm Remington 55 grain load - fast & accurate
I have a 40XB Remington and just discovered my freedom along with 55 grain bullets.
Does anyone have a load for the 6mm that is fast, accurate, and consistent?
I currently use 40.6 grains of 3031 with a 60 grain Sierra bullet; it produces 3860 fps.
I'd like to get 4200 and be able to get good groups.
Does anyone have any favorites?

seafire/B17GLoad it up with H 380, in the 50 to 53 grain range.
work up as always.
I tried that load before Nosler came out with it in their Number 5 manual. IN a 22 inch barrel it gave me 4050 fps. IN a 26 inch barrel it broke 4200, sometimes a little more and sometimes a little less, but right at 4200 fps.
Accuracy was a one hole group. Pressure is not pushing the limits.
cheers

bill rI load a 6MM and love the thing , your going for top maximum , isn't that tough on barrels ?
I always have wondered why the gun is not rated higher for its accuracy , please let us know your final results.
Bill
I get 3850 from 52.5gr of H380 in a 22 in bbl and less than MOA at 100yds.This load will turn a coyote in a 360 and drop him.Have fun
