30-06 load question
I loaded up 180gr hornady sp with 47gr of imr 4895. I am getting speeds around 2320fps. My gun is a remington 30-06 742 CARBINE. Would it be fine to load 48gr? I have seen some manuals list 48 as the max and then I have seen 50 the max so im not sure ... thanks.

As long as you aren't seeing any signs of high pressure I would agree with increasing your powder charge as you suggest.

velocity is like a new car, always losing value.
BC is like diamonds, holding value forever.

IMR-4895 is a good powder for application in Rem. 742 carbine.

Procede with caution in .5gr increments (or less). Note accuracy. Read the cases.
