.243 & Data Powder 85
popcornRugger Mod77 varmint,Winchester cases, #34 primers,
  • 62gr. FBHP., Berger, 45.1gr. DP85, oal=2.665", a little soot, 3228 to 3315 fps., 5 shot 3/4" group @ 50 yds., 3 shot 1 1/2" group at 200 yds.
  • 68gr. FBHP., Berger, 45.1gr. DP85, oal=2.677" 3262 to 3270 fps., 3 shot 3/8" group @ 50yds. 3 shot 1" group @ 300 yds.
  • 68gr., FBHP.,Berger, 44.5gr DP85, 3/4 full, oal= 2.672", soot, mild, 3152 to 3244 fps., 6 shot 1/2" group @ 50 yds., Fantastic at 300 yds.
  • 100gr. BT Spire Bulk, 44.5gr. DP 85, oal=2.848", 3016 to 3059 fps., 4 shot 1" group @ 50 yds.
  • 100gr sp., Mid South Bulk, 44.5gr. DP 85, oal=2.835", soot, 3016 to 3030 fps., 3 shot 1/4" group at 50 yds.

    I don't know if Powder Valley is still selling this stuff, but I find it to be a super investment. beerroger lefty

    Neat report.That 44.5 gr bracket is interesting in the 68gr Berger and 100gr Mid South.

    Have you tried 75 gr bullets with that powder and 44.5 gr?

    I have 300 tested loadings for the .243 but not the one for which you asked. Frownersorry roger lefty
