Brass Age?
I was just reading that you should not use brass that is too old as it gets brittle, etc.... Can any one verify this claim for me? I have brass that has been in my family for yeras. Thanks

Brass can become "brittle" when exposed to certain elements or chemicals. Some brass was made with a formulation that does become more "brittle" with time. If it is working for you, don't worry about it.

IME, if you're shooting it regularly, it will wear out long before it can become "brittle".

See my previous postings about split case necks caused by stress corrosion cracking. Don't reload with your eyes closed, carefully inspect the cases it can save you embarrassment and other problems.
