Looking for .357 125 gr. recipe
More specifically, would like to use H110 or Lil Gun since I keep them both around. Anybody use these with 125 grain JHP's? Also, do I need to use a SPM primer or will a standard work? Not looking for maximum loads, just something with a little zip to it for practice.
thanks

I'll give you my MAX load. I use it when carrying for self protection. The load is as follows Hornady 125 GR HP/XTP, Winchester Small Magnum primers and 19.6 gr. of H110. It's recommended that you don't down load this power much and my manual Nosler number 4 says 18.6 is minimum load.

I think LilGun might be a bit slow for the 125gr, especially in shorter bbls. I use 20gr of H110 for max. loads. You should use a magnum primer for H110. It's not a good idea to reduce much from max. w/ either powder. For "zippy" practice loads, I like 9gr of Unique & it can be fired w/ a std. primer.
