hunteratheartAlliant Powder woes
Been trying for some time now to pick up a few lbs of REL 15. Was told that Alliant is actually having trouble getting a hold of nitroglycerin and so no new powders being produced - only leftover stock floating around.
Anyone know the skinny?

StonecreekNo, it's not a shortage of nitroglycerine. Their problem is that the EPA has prohibited the kind of ink used in printing the canister labels and at the same time their bathroom attendants have unionized and effectively shut down their plant by refusing to allow the use of non union-produced toilet paper. I know this because Sarah Palin did an expose on the subject on Fox News between the Breaking News reports on the Malaysian Flight 370.
At least this is what I was told. And after unknowingly drinking fluoridated water for all these years I believe it, too.

Midway dropped shipped me 10 pounds of RL-15 yesterday. Is due to arrive next week I was notified by them it was available 4 weeks ago, and immediately had ordered it online. It was gone within a few hours.
So, it must be in the pipeline.

RustyAlliant is having problems coming up with their own formula for RL-15 which was made by Norma.
RL-15 is just another batch of Norma 203B. Since Norma switched distributors (Western Powder) in the USA, Alliant doesn't have any 203B to repackage as RL-15.

Ackley Improved UserThere is a shortage of all ammo and reloading supplies because Barack Obama is the best sales person for these items in the history of the planet.

Interesting. My 200gr Partition loading with N203b is actually the same as an RL-15 loading?
Is Norma N202 the old RL-12?
