458 Win Mag Light Loads
Just wondering if anyone here has reloaded their 458 Win Mag with IMR 4198 powder and Hornady 300gr HP. I'm looking at 38.5 gr of 4198 powder. The loads are listed in Hornady's manual and they the only ones I can find that's a reduce load. My concern is by visual inspection, the powder seems to fill around a third of the case. Any comments or concerns?

If the data is in their manual/website you can be sure that they tested it thoroughly!
It is on you to make sure that you don't double charge the case!!!

WHAT ARE THE ISSUES WITH UNDERLOADING THE LARGE CALIBERS MORE ESPECIALLY THE .458 LOTT? AS IN TRYING TO DEVELOP SLOWER VELOCITIES FOR PRACTICE AT A MORE COMFORTABLE RECOIL?
