Wildcat headstamps
If a cartridge is necked up or down from another, or maybe the shoulder is just blown out, the headstamp could mislead someone to chamber the cartridge in the wrong rifle. Is there such a thing as non-headstamped brass in certain standard case head sizes? I guess a well-designed new cartridge would be un-chamberable in a common commercial caliber rifle.

(I found some custom wildcat headstamped brass.)

Unstamped brass is available from a couple of differant sources, or at least used to be. I know that Hornady's basic belted brass is unstamped. Seems to me that Quality cartridge and A-square would offer ummarked brass as well. Neco apparently offers the tooling to stamp it yourself. - Dan

Norma has made basic cases in the past--headstamped "SPECIAL". I have samples in 30-06 and H & H magnum sizes.

BeLL Brass has basic brass in a couple of sizes.

H.C.--what is the headstamp of the wildcat cases you found? (Do you have an extra for sale?)
