OAL Modified Cartridge

Has anyone made their own modified cartridge for the Hornady OAL gauge? I've loaned my tap and die set out, and can't remember the drill size or tap size. Need to modify a 338-06AI cartridge.

I use a fire formed case.
You can order the tap from a tool supplier.
