POPNew 221 Fireball! Need loads Please!
Just bought a new Rem 700 Classic in this caliber. I have 40 gr Nosler BT's and 35 gr Hornady V-maxes. Any load reccomendations? Thanx in advance.

<Lars G>POP - do you have any reloading data? I have the Nosler #4, which has rifle data for the 221 FB in a 22" barrel. They had best results for the 40 gr B-Tip with RL 7. Starting load of 17.0 gr for 2,870 fps and max load of 19.0 gr for 3,240 fps. I can scan the page for you and send it to you if you give me any e-mail addy. IMR 4198 (18.0 gr max,) H4227 (15.5 gr max,) IMR 4227 (15.5 gr max,) AA1680 (18.0 gr max,) H4198 (18.0 gr max) and AA2015BR (20.5 gr max) were some other loads giving the best velocities.
