shell-holder 9.3x62
Just started sizing some cases (new to the 9.3) and the standard 30-06 shellholder took some modification and even now is tight. What's the correct shellholder for this case please?

Many thanks

I sue standard 308/30-06 size ones; yours must be a tight one; the 9.3 is slightly bigger in the base.

You will find it on their website.

Also list some nitro cartridges not easy to find listed alsewhere.

What cases are you using. Lapua & Norma cases will work with standard 308 / 30'06 shell holders. It is possible that you might have issues with other European brass like Privi ???

RCBS lists the # 3 shellholder as the correct shellholder for the 9.3x62 along with all 30-06 based cartridges. I have used several European made brands of brass that seemed slightly oversized and very tight in the # 3 shellholder. Using the RCBS # 2 shellholder which is recommended for the 6.5x55 cartridge solves that problem.

The problem is likely in the width of the extractor groove rather than in the diameter of the case head. You will often find a narrower extractor groove on some European brass. The solution would be to mill (or simply grind) just a tad off of the face of the shellholder to make its rim engagement a bit thinner.

I have only Privi brass and it works with standard shell holders.
