SDSWell, like everything else, it depends. A slightly compressed load of extruded slow-burning powder in a large rifle case will not cause a pressure spike. I have read that a compressed load of H110 in a pistol case will cause pressure to spike (Handloader Magazine, June-July 2000, p.32).

RogerKIt's never happened to me. But never and always are bad concepts in reloading. The new Barnes manuel has some mistakes. In the old manuel, their loads were in line with other manuels. Start with reduced loads, work up and watch for pressure.
