Lyman 49th Edition manual
Does anybody have the new Lyman manual? I am trying to determine if it contains any extensive data for the .405 Winchester.

Thanks,

Jesse

Lyman 48th edition doesn't list the .405 Winchester but I read where the 49th edition does. Nosler's 6th edition doesn't have any but Hornady's 7th edition has some data for it.

Hornady list 6 powders:

RL-7 (36.4gr to max 45.5gr) 1800-2100fps

H 322 (41.1gr to max 44.9gr) 1800-2000fps

AA 2015 (39.8gr to max 51.3gr) 1800-2200fps

IMR 3031 (41.2gr to max 50.6gr) 1800-2100fps

VIHT N-133 (43.0gr to max 52.6gr) 1800-2200fps

H4895 (44.9gr to max 55.8gr) 1800-2250fps

primer:.....Winchester WLR
Case:.......Hornady
Max C.O.L.: 3.175"
Max case length: 2.583"
Case trim length:2.573"
300gr bullet #41050 and #41051 loaded to a C.O.L. of 3.085"

The Lyman #49 only shows loads for two bullets. A 300 gr. flatnose Hornady and a 288gr. cast bullet.
