steve boxBalistics Program
Do any of you folks have any preferences for a Balistics Progran? I have a Generic program but I need to step up. I NEED A PRO-PROGRAM and I dont care about File space or how much memory it uses.

MickinColoWhat do you want or need out of a ballistic program? Most any of the programs out there will calculate external ballistics but only a few calculate internal ballistics. I own Quickload/Quick Target (QL) and LFD (Loading from a Disk).
LFD is a good little program; it has features that I wish QL had like multiple down range cartridge or bullet comparisons for one.
It’ll print labels for your ammo bags or boxes (which I have never used).
LFD has a shorter learning curve.
LFD also costs less then half the price of QL.
“But”…. LFD limits you in powder choices for any given load. The program has “training wheels” on it that you can’t get around.
Quickload, on the other hand has no “training wheels”. You can experiment and explore all the possibilities up to and including blowing yourself up.
It’s the top shelf ballistics program and demands the top shelf price.
