Hello everyone, New to the board I am interested in reloading , but dont have a clue as to how it is done. 1st step, buy a reloading manual and read on "how too" Then find a fellow reloader and watch him.

And welcome to the world of reloading. In the long run, it's not cheaer but you sure can shoot alot more

One of the better 'getting started' resources would be the first few chapters of the SPEER Manual. Very plain english.

Welcome to the site. There are a bunch of good guys w/ good info. here. As has already been advised, get 2-3 manulas & read them. One of my favorite books is the ABC's of Reloading. Go to the various reloading manuf. websites, some like RCBS have intro to reloading. Buy a basic kit like the RCBS RockChuker & then there are things you can add to it. Buy some powder, primers & bullets & get reloading. Ask questions then ask more questions, of knowledgeable reloaders (hard to determine sometimes who has knowledge & who is slinging BS).
Reloading is a great hobby all to itself. Done w/ a bit of caution & common sense, you can produce safe, accurate, affordable ammunition.

Reloading is very enjoyable, but can be very dangerous. Make sure you find a mentor you can sit with and learn. Definitely get a manual or 3.

First off, welcome. There is a wealth of information coming from this site. I would highly recommend the Lyman #47 or 48. Very simple "how to" and then the step beyond explaining the "why" in reloading. I have found that reloading does not, for me at least, mean ammunition is less expensive, it just means I can use the same money and shoot more. Tom Purdom

If you are on a budget, do not overlook old reloading books. They can usually be picked up for a couple dollars and the procedures don't go out of date. Also try your local library, if they don't have one they can get one through interlibrary loan.
