How deep to seat Barnes 85gr. TSX in .243???
Anyone have any favorite loads and first-hand experience with this bullet? What COL have you used for best accuracy? My Savage Model 11 seems to have a deep throat and the bullet sticks out exposing the entire first groove if 50 to 75 thousandths are used. Any good loads with IMR 4350??? Thanks.

The grooves sticking out of the case mouth aren't unusual for the TSX.
In the picture below you can see that the 7 mm Mag round has two grooves sticking out of the case. That's what it took to get me .050" off the lands. The 375 H&H round on the right has one groove outsdie the case mouth.

Great picture. Thanks Frank. That answers my concern about the grooves showing. Wayne
