trashcanmanneed blue dot loads for .223
I want velocities from 2150 to 2650 fps using blue dot and using a 50 GRAIN BALLISTIC TIP. I have a 22 inch barrel if you want to get real technical. I want it to shoot flat to 100 yds, will 2150 fps do that or should i go for higher velocities?thanks

bartsche9gr.Blue Dot 2257fps.--------11gr Blue Dot 2655 fps
Sea Fire B17G would probably E mail his complete data collection on that cartridge. Flat enough to 100 yds.

B17GOkay, Straight from the Whores's Mouth. (or is that Horse's? I always get those two confused??

Blue Dot with a 50 grain bullet:
8 grs: 2142 fps
9 grs: 2225 fps
10 grs: 2389 fps
11 grs: 2673 fps.
12 grs: 2782 fps.
NO you do not need magnum small rifle primers.
Max load in a 223 with bullet weights under 55 grains is 14 grains. Accuracy should be very good with a 50 grain Ballistic tip.
Cheers and Good shooting
