155gr. Sierra SMK .308 loads?
I have a Remington VSLH .308 that shoots 168gr. SMK's and Varget sub MOA.
The rifle has a 1 in 12 twist barrel.

I'd like to try a 155gr. Match King's to just change up.

Stick with Varget or pick some different powder?

Thanks in advance!!

My most accurate loads are with Reloader 15, with IMR4064 a close second. Every rifles different though --- S40

I have had excellent results with the 155 SMK Palma and Varget. I didnt in the beginning but was given advce but a regular 1000 competitior who told me it would not shine until at or close to max loads. I stepped up the load in .3 increments and found the best CONSISTENT load my 308 has ever had before or since near the top. That said it still alows me to neck size only (lapua brass)and go. Ive run 4895, RL15, 168MK and 175MK and the palma/Varget combo still beats all IN MY RIFLE (Sako TRG)

My .308 VSSF Rem 700 loves Varget and the Sierra 155 MK. Seated as long as possible for the magazine to function and using Federal 210 M primers and Lapua or other quality brass the rifle holds consistant .35 MOA. No LIE! work up till your tube humm's this bullet out.

That would be a Palma load if the COL of your load is within the rules.

Search for Palma loads.

Try the 155 SMKs with 46 to 47 grains of Varget or IMR-4064. Mine likes the 4064.

Many thanks!!

I'll stick with the Varget and CCI BR2 primers.
