kbeboutLapua Natualais Bullets
I did a search here and didn't find much info on these bullets. Has anyone of you used them? I have read several posts stating that the Barnes X's are not very accurate. Is the Naturalis any better? I am contemplating trying these in a 6.5x55 Winchester Model 70 and would like to hear others thoughts.
Thanks,
Kevin

csamI think you would be better off with plain old bullets in the swede. Barnes X especially the triple shocks can be very accurate if your rifle likes them. The issue is that rifles have a love em or hate em attitude towards the Barnes X.
The swede is not fast enough to benefit from a bullet that tough. I know it is not sexy, but you would be better of with a flat base like a sierra.

ceweA Naturalis should be equal to a Barnes X in toughness. Personally I find the Barnes to be accurate in my 9.3x62. The only problem with monometal bullets in the 6.5x55 is that they diminish case capacity as they are longer than lead core bullets.

papaschmudThe pickiness problems with Barnes X bullets have been solved with the TSX design. I fought with the original X bullets a great deal and came to the same level of exasperation that many others have. The TSX is another beast entirely, I would rate them at or near the top of the tough game bullets in terms of accuracy.
Heck, pick up a box of 120 TSX's and be done.
The Naturalis is interesting though

, I hope to try some next year.
