SnowwolfeReloading Supplies! Hal a Lou Ya!
Decided to take a ride on my motorcycle last night so headed out to our local Sportsman Warehouse for some fishing supplies.
As usual had to walk by the reloading section and the shelves were totally stocked. Must of been at least 100 1K boxes of primers including Fed 215's ($42). Pretty much every brand of powder in 1 and 8 pound jugs except no IMR 4831.
Didnt spend much time looking at the bullet selection but didnt see many empty spaces either.
Looks like the hoarding is over for now.
I was in Fairbanks S.W. about a month back and was shocked to see the full shelves. They didn't have any 215's but pretty much everything else. We have to do the day run in Aug 1st. Glad to hear they have 215's; hope I can get a couple thou of them.
Salesman told me early this Spring that supply would be back to normal come summer; but I bet we never see lower prices like a couple years back;;; but thats OK as long as it's on the shelves.
Ditto here! Went to my local guy and he had almost all primers in stock! It was a beautiful thing!

Kevin Rohrer$42 a thousand?! That's pretty pricey. And I thought I was getting ripped off by paying $32 a thousand.

SnowwolfePricey? Your probably correct. But I have better things to do than drive around all day trying to find primers for a penny less.
It's far easier to whip out the plastic or write a check

nsaqamAren't primers and other components generally more expensive in Alaska than in Ohio?
Back when the shelves were empty, I talked salesman at S.W. outta a thousand large rifle primers for 32 bucks. I figured they were keeping the little they had in the back; nothing on the shelf. I remember when gas was 18.9 too, but happy to pay whatever to get what I need when it all comes down to it.
