I picked up some H4350 today, couldnt find any IMR 4350.
I have never used either one.
Will be using either a 168gr. XLC or 180gr. XLC from Barnes for mulies this season.
I really like, or my rifle really seems to like, RL22 with the 168gr.'s, but like the rest of you guy's, I am always looking for that "magic"
Anybody had good luck with the H4350??
I have heard that IMR 4350 has been the standard 300 WM powder for a long time. But, I LOVE the velocity of the RL22...Thanks in advance...sakofan..
I have not seen alot of data on the H4350 for my caliber...

H4350 is a great powder, and it should give you excellent results in your rifle. Although it is supposed to be about the same burning rate as IMR 4350, I think it is slightly slower. Try the Hodgdon website for loading data. Also, Hodgdon publishes a little paperback loading data handbook that you can get free.

Thanks LE270...I tried Hogdons site and got an idea of a starting load, but was wanting some "real world testomonies"LOL..sakofan..

Not to rain on your parade, but I had bad luck with H4350 in my 300 Win Mag. IMR4350 and 180 gr partition grouped regularily into a quarter of an inch at 3000fps out of the same gun. H4831 however with 180gr XLC's does wonderful things in that rifle, and then there is RL 19 and it did even better. My specific load info is not handy right now but these are some of my findings anyway.

find a copy of Hodgdon's 26th Edition load manual. It lists not only their powders, but also IMR, Winchester and Reloder in most of their calibers.

The 27th edition, lists H 4350 with a 168 grain bullet at 66 grains to start with a velocity of 2900, and pressure as 45,500 CUP.
Top load is 70 grains for a velocity of 3034 and a pressure of 51,000 CUP.

For a 180 grain it lists 71.5 grains of IMR 4350 for a velocity of 3100 fps and pressure of 54,000 CUP.

Hi sakofan. Aload I used and liked for the 300 Win was 180 Barnes XLC--73grs H4350-Fed 215-RP case My OAL is 3.435 in 24" barrel BSA. Vel was cronographed at 3012. Although this is a very good powder I find I get better accuracy and 100/fts more velocity with 79grs of RL22. Same components. Hope this helps.
