Removing powder residue
Like many others I too have converted to Wipe Out.
It states on the can that it does not remove powder residue. What ,if anything do you guys use for this part of the job?

Are you talking inside of shell or your barrel?

I heard that Birchwood Casey's case cleaner cleans the inside of the case pretty good. I bought a bottle but have yet used it. It's cheap too.

For your barrel, I use Barnes CR10

I run a patch with Hoppes 9 on it and then a brass brush. Then I wipe it with the Hoppes patch again, a clean patch and I oil it. This does not get all of the copper fouling out and so what! After the first shot with a "clean" barrel it has fouling anyway.

Most of the time I don't clean the barrel at all. My .220 Swift is over 60 shots now without being cleaned and the accuracy requirement for varmints is much higher than big game.
