TazmaniacAPS priming
Does anybody have experience with the RCBS APS priming tools and if so what is the conclusion about them.

drichiI have both the bench mount and hand tools. I use both regulary. I like the bench mount for large batchs of cases. I think they work very well. Switching primer size takes only a few seconds.

desparrHi Tazmaniac,
The APS is a basically sound reloading system.
It is consistent and fairly quick to use.
It avoids any problem with RSI from using the LEE auto-prime or similar systems that need thumb pressure.
The drawback is that occasionally it jams, and needs about 1min or so to partially dismantle.
Also it requires small sleeves to fit in the underside of the shellholder - they are easily lost/damaged, so spares are handy.
Cheers,
Des.

Matt in VirginiaFWIW,
I use the bench mounted APS as well as the APS unit on my PRO 2000. Both work very well. The only hitch is finding the primers in the strips. However, if you let your local retailer know what you want that is not a problem either...
Regards, Matt.
