Loading the 6.5x55 with long throat.
I'm wondering what you guys are doing with your 6.5x55s with the long throats. Are you seating your bullets out long to be closer to the lands, or just seating to the crimp grove and letting the bullet travel? I'm wondering if it makes any difference in accuracy?

I load mine to the lands .010-.020 etc off, cept 120s dont reach, which I dont use anymore anyway

My 6.5x55s are all Husqvarnas and a m70, the m70 even has a little longer throat.

Lately I like the hornaday 160s, but shot tons of 140s and 129s all accurate with my rifles, even loading them "in" way off the lands I get good accuracy.

The 160 hornadays have a smaller diameter ahead of the grove, check them out if you have any, and they can take a higher powder charge than other 160s

My 9.3x57s I cant even get close to the lands, its a long jump even for 285s, but accrurate
