Great shooting by the rifle and Trigger Yanker! clap

You using a "Secret" Powder with the 64gr Bullet? How are you getting them to Ignite without Primers??? rotflmo

If they still use the "L-shape" wire for the Trigger Spring, I might have some smaller diameter Spring Steel wire on hand.

fishingActually I did modify the spring. It is almost square in cross section. The trigger is still rough for lack of adeuate honeing.
The yhing that thoroughly amazed me was the repeatability of the barrel. It was moa after the first shot and after 80 shots now it seems to get better. I've never had a Shaw barrel quite that good beforebeerroger

Yes, it sounds like you got a fine barrel. But, the Trigger Yanker still has a good bit to do with the results. thumb

Almost made it to 40deg today. Boooo!!!

Bartsche - I am utterly jealous.

I hope to scrounge enough for a new barrel chambered for the 22PPC Sako/US/Oversize/Factory.

The barrel would have to be salt bath QPQ nitrided to last very long. I would like to be out shooting ground squirrels (picket pins). Those varmints make holes that break the legs of stock (cattle, horses) and game (deer, elk, wolf, coyote, etc.).

You have been given a rare gift. You actually earned it.

I must have read this wrong-- did Norma suddenly begin selling a PPC case? or a 220 russian?

They don't seem to know it.

Don't know if Norma is selling 22PPC cases now, but the ones I have are head stamped "norma 22PPC USA"

    These were purchased in 1994.

Sako does sell 22PPC USA cases. Absolute top quality. They also sell loaded 22PPC USA ammunition.

The older Norma cases were pretty decent.

Norma just restarted producing 6mm PPC USA cases. Article on that is on 6mmbr.com

Easy enough to make from 220 Soviet. Keep a cheap barrel handy for fireforming, or just use your fireforming loads for varmint hunting.
