Powder trickling
I have been manually trickling my rifle powder, but I am thinking about "upgrading" to the RCBS Chargemaster Combo for dispensing.

Does anyone use the chargemaster? Is it accurate or should I stay with the manual trickling?

Search for "RCBS Chargemaster 1500" on this site. I recently bought one after manual trickling and have been ecstatic with it. Just punch in the load, and out it comes. Mine is accurate within 0.1 every time. If it comes out a little over (1 in 10 times) then I dump it and do it again. Great machine...worth every penny.

Gotta get me one of those. So much better than picking the pan up, working the powder dispenser lever, putting the pan on the scale, trickling, picking the pan up... you all know the steps.

Yep, I was one of those who got into this to save money. hammering

Once I purchased a Redding BR-10, I have stopped trickling. Too accurate and the .1 diff. in charge wt. does not seem to affect my accuracy.. I couldn't believe that I spent all those years weighing and trickling with a balance beam scale. hammering Now I check every 10th. charge and proceed... Big Grin

I love my Chargemaster and use it for everything, except I'm doing 1000 223R and I set up my Pacific measure, it is faster,I can charge 50 in maybe 3 min.. I use the scale on the RCBS to weigh. I won't use the measure for anything else, but this high volume loading.

I had been using the balancer and trickler for the last 3 years and after starting pd shooting and loading thousands of rounds in several months, it was enough. I finally broke down and bought the chargemaster 1500 and couldn't be happier, just push the dispense button and by the time you seat your bullet, your next charge is ready, plus, the charge weight is right on the money practically every time.

walk around the house muttering the word "chargemaster" about six weeks before Christmas...

Maybe someone will get the hint.....if helps if a "C-note" accidently drops from your pocket too.
