IMR 8208 launched in Australia - experience in US?
Smiler Greetings from OZ- ADI here in Aus has recently released the new 8208 powder and I understand it was launched in the US a few years ago so you guys would have some experience with it. Even though it is an Aussie powder it was first sold in the US through Hogdon and I believe performs well in medium burning calibres(223,243,308 etc).

I would appreciate any feedback ( positive or negative), particularly in 308 with lighter projectiles ????

I really like it with 150 grain Nosler Accubonds. IMR 8208 XBR performs for me!

Here is my post from the other thread.

5 rounds, 100 yards, Savage FCP .308 I used IMR 8208 XBR, Federal match primers.

I have never had a terminal ballistics failure of an Accubond or Nosler Partition bullet.
Accubond have performed well for me on White-tailed deer and feral hogs in Texas.

I have not been back to the range since with that rifle. I will let you know when I do!

SmilerThanks Rusty-that is a very nice group. I might try some of this new powder as 2208 is a little inconsistent of late.

I use it, with great results, in my 20-222 Rem.
