1:12" twist 243, 85gr NP stabilize?
I have an old 243/6mm with a 12 twist. Can I stabilize a 85gr Nosler Partition?

I have a heavy barreled 6mm with a PacNor stainless 1-12. Very acccurate with bullets up to 70grs. Anything heavier, stable, but not very accurate.

My (former) 6mm Rem shot everything up to 90 grains well. Then . . . keyholes were happening things.

Shilen Rifle website says a 6mm 1/12" twist will stabilize standard cup and core (which the NP is) up to and including 85 grains. I trust them and have used their twist rate guide when rebarreling a rifle or buying a factory gun and have never been disappointed with it.
