Kimber 8400 question
The Kimber catalog states that the 8400 action was designed around the WSM cartridges with the emphasis on keeping dimensions to a minimum. With the WSM cartridges, can you seat heavy bullets out close to the lands - say a 175 grain spitzer in the 7mm WSM for example - and still get the cartridge in the magazine box?

The magazine box is balanced with the lands. i havnt had any problems seating berger VLD 168gr in my 300WSM to the lands and even into them. they still fit in the mag.

but, only one way to find out right?

I also have a 8400 montana in .300WSM. No issue with getting the bullets right out to the lands.

I have been shooting 180 grain TSX.

how good are the groups you are getting?
with 150gr ballistic tips ive done a few .3" ones but norm around an inch 3 shots @ 100yards.
