Once I've fired a brass round, sometimes I tumble the cartrides, sometimes I don't. Irregardless if they sit in the same coffee can for many months before I get around to reloading them, I will see on some of them black spots or even green/yellow fine flakes of something. What is causing this and how can I prevent it?

craigsterI'd guess moisture and/or high humidity is causing the corrosion you're seeing. You might try adding a dash of liquid car wax/polish to your tumbling media. You could also put some dessicant packs in the storage container with the brass .
