South40Every rifle is different. I can only seat to 3.27" w/ Nosler 150's in my Weatherby LT. Do yourself and your friend a favor, measure the maximum seating depth for that particular rifle!

StonecreekI refuse to load for a rifle unless I have the rifle in hand to check various dimensions for fit and feeding, especially overall length. Pay attention to what South40 says.

<fishnfool>I agree with the last 2 posts. The loads should be tailored to the specific rifle especially in loads approaching max. My older model Ruger M77 only permits 150 gr. Noslers to be seated 3.235" @ .015" off the lands.
However, there has to be a certain "standard" length for the factory ammo, say Fed. Premium, which most likely has a shorter OAL than spec.

<.280 Sweden>I agree with you that its best to check the specifik weapon.
What are the COL on Fedrals 150grs Partion?
If I use Fedrals COL and a min. load of powder all will work up fine?
Its very hard in Sweden to find .280Rem in stores. You must order it and wait for 2-3 weeks.
