federal& norma
hi
a close look at the norma and federal cases shows that they are very simillar. my question is if nornma made fedral ammo or fedral is making norma's ammo or it is only a coincidance?

A few years ago, I toured the Norma factory in Amotfors, Sweden and noticed they made cases & loaded ammo for Weatherby and Winchester. There may be others, though.

3 shots do not make a group, they show a point of aim or impact.
5 shots are a group.

Not even close.

Norma brass is way thicker in the shoulder area, and their necks are reamed. Federal tapers from the case mouth to the case head.

They may use a similar brass alloy. They are noticeably softer than Lapua, Winchester, or Remington.

I have read and been told that the brass Federal uses for its .470 NE product is indeed of Norma origin.
