hi
a close look at the norma and federal cases shows that they are very simillar. my question is if nornma made fedral ammo or fedral is making norma's ammo or it is only a coincidance?

Andre MertensA few years ago, I toured the Norma factory in Amotfors, Sweden and noticed they made cases & loaded ammo for Weatherby and Winchester. There may be others, though.

Ralph HyrlikNot even close.
Norma brass is way thicker in the shoulder area, and their necks are reamed. Federal tapers from the case mouth to the case head.
They may use a similar brass alloy. They are noticeably softer than Lapua, Winchester, or Remington.

DavidReedI have read and been told that the brass Federal uses for its .470 NE product is indeed of Norma origin.
