The calibers actual right now are 6,5x65R RWS, 6,5x57R

RCBS will and I guess Redding too.

Hornady will make them. I think they are a bit cheaper, RCBS then Redding for cost. CD4H seems hit or miss but they make everything. Lee will also. You might need to make so calls. You have to pay for the tooling and make a minimum order. 10 sets at 200 or so bucks gets pricy LOL. My best luck has been to pay your gun smith to cut the dies with your reamer. Newlon bushing dies have worked real well and you can neck down by changing bushings. Or try Ebay and gun shows and get a buch of odd ball dies, shim them or bob them off to get the right length. Vickerman and RCBS make a generic comp seater, for a few bucks extra you can change calibers and they make real straight ammo. I use these for my 17s and 20s. Kiff at Pacific will make you a rougher reamer, cut your blank die, use that for your F/L sizer. Finshed reamer will cut your neck sizer on a bushing die blank and do the seater also. Sell the reamers to off set the cost. I feel your pain, I do not shoot much that you can buy over the counter ammo for, those few have been Ackleyed.

RCBS is one of the only manufacturers making dies for the less common European metric calibers. Sadly, their website is not the best place to get information about all the dies they make... A better place to look is normally on midwayusa.com...

Midway USA lists a die set for the 6.5x65R. The price is a bit high, and it is a special order item.

For the 6.5x57R, things look a bit better. Midway lists a set of Forster dies (better than RCBS) for about $50. Even if they are listed as special order items as well, IMHO it would be worth it waiting for the Forsters as opposed to getting an RCBS or a regular Redding set in this caliber (also available). The Forster seater is better than the regular RCBS or Redding seaters, and I like their FL sizing die better as well.

Now for the bad news, Midway USA does not normally accept orders from non-US residents. The easiest would be to get your cousin in the US to do an order for you, and then forward the dies to you when they arrive at his place... He can legally do this - no export restrictions on dies. If that does not work, contact Sinclair and see if they will order the dies for you. I'm pretty sure they will get you all Forster dies.

If Sinclair falls through on the 6.5x65R RCBS dies, talk to RCBS directly. They will make them for you. I'm just not sure what they will charge.

For a European supplier, check out www.wiederlade-service.de/. Normally, their prices are somewhat higher than US prices, though.

CH-4D may actually have both of those in stock. If not, Lymna does offer the 6.5x57, and these are available from numerous vendors.

Mike that not a very good idea, because the guy running the business deals only with cash in advance. And a lot of German and Austrian customers are very angry about his business policy (first collecting money, delivery several month or a half year later). The price in Germany for that die is about 60 Euros + shipping costs and customs. But imho it make no sence to re-import a US-made die. Perhaps you find a used die in that caliber or get it cheap from a mail order company. Perhaps there?: www.dnrsports.com

I must say I have never dealt with the internet dealer in Germany, so no endorsements from my side. He does list a fair amount of dies on his website, and his prices are better than what I've seen elsewhere in Europe - though still more expensive than the US. Maybe if he does business the way you state, that is part of the reason?? Thanks for the heads-up.

RCBS may actually have one or both as a standard.....but Hornady, Redding, and RCBS will make to your dimensions....all seem to be good dies.

You can load the 6.5X57REmm case with regular 6.5X57mm dies using the RCBS No. 26 shell holder. I load my 8X60RS ammo with a set of RCBS 8X60S dies and that same #26 shellholder. That shellholder works for ALL rimmed "Mauser size" cases which have a rim diameter of .522" or so...... I suspect your 6.5X65R will also fit this shellholder.

Check hunttingtons list of what they have on hand, they've gots of odd stuff

Whatever you do, NEVER have a gunsmith cut your dies with the same reamer that he cut your chamber with! How can the brass be sized with dies that are the same dimensions as your chamber???
