RCBS Precision Mic head-space standards

Any idea why RCBS quotes ANSI standards for the head-space length in the instructions for their precision mic?
I thought SAAMI is standards setter for firearms and ammo.

SAAMI is a recconized standards setter for ANSI. The numbers are from SAAMI.
