<GAHUNTER>African Grand Slams
I've noticed in the African Forum that the Swift A-frame is a very popular bullet for plains and dangerous game.
But what about the Speer African Grand Slam? Anyone ever use it? I use the regular Grand Slam for North American heavy game and have been very happy with the bullet performance.

<Sooner>Gahunter, I have used them quite a bit and found them to perform as well as any I've used. I hunted cape buff back in Aug and I used both AGS and AGS solids. The rifle was a 458 Lott, I like the AGS Solids better than any other solid because they are shorter for their weight, so I can get more powder and velocity with them. I don't think you could go wrong with any of the grand slams, but there are plenty of others here with vastly greater experience than I that might have different opinions.

loud-n-boomerLike Sooner, I have used then in the .458 Lott. The solids are great, but for softs, I like the Swift A-frames better since I like a controlled expansion bullet, and the A-frame is less expensive. That said, in my rifle they are very accurate, but so are the s Swifts.
