Yiminy.431 lead RN in 44 Mag
I have a whole bunch of 200 gr .431" lead RN bullets (Oregon Trail Laser-Cast).
Just went to load them up, and realized that the manual calls for .430" lead bullets in .44 mag. Are these safe to load? Is this a non-issue?
They will be used in a new Ruger Super Blackhawk, and fit the cylinder throats almost perfectly - slide right through with only a slight tap.
Thanks,
James

fredj338James, they'll probably shoot better in your Ruger being slightly oversize. Many Rugers have oversize chamber mouths. Load them up & shoot them.

YiminyCool!
A lot of brass to size first... I'll try the first cylinder full this afternoon.
Thanks!

eddieharrenI've been casting bullets for 4 different 44's for 25 yrs. Both Ruger Super Blackhawks require .431" while the 2 custom rebarrelled S&W's require .430".
