Curious if anyone has used these? I was thinking of ordering some .338 caliber 230 grainers for load development. These would be used on African Plains game.

I've used the 30cal 180 and 200grs variants in 308, 30-06 and 300winmags. They are extremely popular in my parts of the world and are used on deer and moose in various calibers. They behave much like any other good bonded bullet, gives good precision with quick expansion, but holds together well.

I've used them in .308 and .284 calibers - in non-magnum calibers. They hold together well, but tend to expand to a very large diameter when impact is at high velocity. Probably not my first choice for deep penetration. Due to their shape, they are not the most ballistically efficient bullets, so I would not choose them for long range hunting either.

Thanks, I might try some later. I decided to go with 225 grain Nosler Partitions and 250 grain Hornady Spire Points for now.
